Nike Sweatshops

yes, One of the most famous shoe companies USES SWEATSHOPS! you can check out our video about Nike in the "Videos" section (one of the videos states they get paid 0.07 cents PER SHOE!). They use sweatshops and they refuse to stop. Jobs are needed in the U.S, where they could set up factories and give people jobs. Just a little more factories in the U.S, and less in other countries. There is a really cool group of people trying to stop Nike sweatshops, Called Team Sweat. Link below. They try to stop Nike's sweatshops, and they even have a youtube channel with lots of videos you should check out. And, for the factories in countries such as Indonesia, pay them MORE. one of the Team sweat videos shows how much they are really paid!

They've been using sweatshops since the 1970s in South Korea and Taiwan to make goods. As the economies developed, workers later became more productive and their wages rose then some workers moved on to higher paying jobs.Later Nike found cheaper labor offered In Indonesia,China and Vietnam which prohibited labor unions. When workers demanded additional rights, Nike moved to a different location where they could continue to operate at a low cost.
